Increasing your Linkedin Exposure (10 Tips 10 Days Part 2)
Last week I shared with you my first 6 tips from #10tips10days, and I promised you that I would share the rest this week. I loved sharing these tips with you and am thrilled to be able to help you create better content for social media.
I’ll get to the videos at the end of this blog, but first, let’s do a little breakdown on how the challenge went. (It’s a Linkedin challenge so we are going to look at results over there).
LinkedIn launched native video about 2 years ago. It’s not something that I jumped on right away. Partly because most of my videos were longer since I had been doing tons of live video at the time. So I had some random videos here and there. Then, this winter, I came up with the strategy to edit my live videos into 3 key parts, and share those to LinkedIn.
For awhile those videos performed well (meaning, some would get 500 views, I didn’t need to put in much effort, the content was already created, etc). But that started to plateau (because the content was created for a different medium). I’ve felt for a while now that I wanted and needed to approach my content and video creating differently.
The 10 Tips 10 Days Challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to shake things up. 1 video a day for 10 days, my top tips, and a specific audience. How did they do (metrics-wise)?
To date, those videos have 20K+ views
I’ve received 1000+ new connection requests
I’ve booked 10+ calls with potential clients
And I’ve met tons of amazing people
While these numbers aren’t exactly viral or going to get me on the cover of Forbes, they are still pretty impressive and outrank anything else I’ve done on the platform yet.
